J.J. (Judy) McElreath is a native of Groves, Texas; but has lived in the Houston/Alvin area for most of her life. She was employed by Magcobar (M-I/SWACO), a major oilfield service company based in Houston, for over 35 years. Held numerous management positions within the Production/Purchasing & Logistics department; the last position with MI/Swaco was Manager of Production Planning. The major assets she brings to Real Estate are experience and expertise in purchasing, documentation, problem solving and negotiating. She served for fifteen years as an officer on the Board of Directors for Southern Star Credit Union (formerly Dresser Central Credit Union). Has been an active agent in the Texas Real Estate market for the past fifteen years. Served as treasurer of the Texas Good Sams' RV organization for seven years; and was on the security staff for the National RV Rally's for 4 years. Enjoys traveling and family get togethers. My husband and I have been residents of Alvin since 2016 when we searched high and low for the perfect property to house our horses and allow us to grow our family. My career began when I graduated from University of Houston-Clear lake with a BA in psychology. I have worked for ALVIN ISD teaching 7th grade English for seven years before transitioning to real estate in 2023. My passion for real estate began when we purchased our first home, I loved the whole process of house hunting, closing and eventually turning it into our dream homestead.
